Kernave- the medieval capital, could be an extra stop on a way to Kaunas.

The ancient 11 000 years old human settlement located in a valley of five fortress mounds next to the river. It is also an archelological UNESCO heritage sight. Wooden fortresses had not remained, but next to the mounds you will explore the reconstruction of wooden village, with blacksmiths, jewerler and hunter houses.
